Australian Deaf Games

The Australian Deaf Games, to be held in Geelong, are just under a year away.

The Australian Deaf Games will be held in Geelong from the 14th to the 21st of January 2012. The Games will involve up to 20 sports and are held every four years. The Games attract competitors and visitors from all over Australia, with up to 1,000 athletes and 2,500 visitors expected to flock to Geelong.

The Games are the pinnacle of deaf sporting events in Australia and while sport is central to the event, the Games also provide a major social and cultural festival for the whole deaf community.
