Our Services
A media alternative transcript is a written record of dialogue from a video that also includes written descriptions of what is visually happening onscreen throughout. Media alternative transcripts are often a companion or alternative to described video as both products make videos accessible to people who are blind or have low vision. Media alternative transcripts are formatted to be screen reader compatible and are also a fundamental component WCAG compliance.

Ai-Live is designed to never interfere with the student’s lecture. We simply need to hear what’s being said. Ai-Live integrates seamlessly with all the major web streaming platforms and lecture capture systems allowing for remote access by our captionists. Our captionists create live captions remotely which are delivered directly via any internet web browser to the students laptop, tablet or smartphone without the need to download any software.

Asynchronous Captioning and Transcription

Captions in the classroom unlock content of all kinds, from live lectures and tutorials to pre-recorded videos. If your students need real-time access to classroom content, CART Captions is the answer. Students can read what their teachers are saying in real time on their own devices, or displayed on a screen for the whole class to enjoy.

Transcripts of lecture and class content provide an incredible tool for student revision and comprehension. Being able to easily review what was said in the classroom reinforces learning and is more efficient than watching long recordings in their entirety.

Described Video

We can provide Described Video, also known as Audio Description (AD), for any of your videos that you want to make accessible for people who are blind or have low vision. We can make sure that your video complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)All you need to do is provide us with the video file. We create the descriptions, record them and add them to your video!

What do we offer?
Standard Audio Description involves adding the spoken description of visual elements in the natural pauses of the video, such as between sections of dialogue and during the beginning of a scene, so as to keep the video length the same as the original video.
Extended Audio Description is required when a video may not have enough natural pauses. This involves the editing of a video to freeze or pause at points throughout the video to add the spoken description. Extended AD will increase the length of the video.
