We started our Ai-Media Facebook page to share stories from the deaf community with the world. We’d love for you to share yours. So grab your camera or phone, hit record, and tell us your story.
What should my story be about?
We share stories which have a focus on deafness, disability and accessibility. Beyond that, it’s really up to you! We love videos from everyone, from Deaf people to CODAs, from parents of children with a disability to sign language students – we just want to share a whole range of perspectives and stories to raise awareness and celebrate diversity.
How should I film my video?
You can record your video using any camera, or even your phone. Please film the video in landscape if you’re using your phone. If the video is something that we think our community here will connect with, we will caption your video in English so it is accessible to everyone and post it on our page.
You can film the video in English or sign language. If it’s in sign language, please include an English transcript so that we can create captions.
How do I get my video to Ai-Media?
Once your video is recorded, you can upload it to us.
If Dropbox doesn’t work for you, send it through any transfer file program such as WeTransfer or Hightail to social.media@ai-media.tv. Make sure you send through your transcript, too.
What happens next?
We’ll watch your video and if it’s something we believe will engage our audience, we will get it captioned and post it on our Facebook. It will also be shared and promoted on our Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages.
