What is Ai-Live captioning? – accessible version

The Ai-Live captioning platform was originally developed to provide access to people who are deaf. Live captions transform the professional and educational experience of deaf and hard-of-hearing people by providing immediate access to the spoken word. Ai-Live captions and transcripts enable full participation in the workplace, and in education. They can also used by people with cerebral palsy, learning difficulties, visual learning issues and English language development needs. We have also adapted our captions for people with autism spectrum disorder whereby our captioners listen to the lesson, summarise the content and deliver summarised live captions.

Real-time speech to text delivered to any web-enabled device enabling full participation and access for all.

The transcripts from your captioning session are available online.

Choose your favourite text and background combination for your captions

An optimised colour palette can improve reading speed by 400%. Choose from a range of fonts and sizes that are applied instantly on screen.

We’ve included OpenDyslexic font in which each letter has a unique form. This is created using a a heavier baseline, as well as alternating stick and tail lengths, and has been designed to simplify reading for people with dyslexia.

Our options also feature a range of 15 different colour combinations so people with colour blindness can still access the captions.
